Capture6 has become the first DAC startup in the US to receive technology approval from the Bay Area Air Quality Management District

We are delighted to announce that Capture6 has become the first Direct Air Capture (DAC) startup in the US to receive technology approval from the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, in partnership with IBank California, for its loan guarantee program for climate tech entrepreneurs.

Capture6 will use the loan guarantee to mobilize debt financing for our pilot DAC and water recovery project in Southern California. The loan guarantee is a debt financing breakthrough for hard, infrastructure climate tech startups like Capture6 who cannot easily access debt financing.

Unlocking debt financing is essential for infrastructure climate tech startups as we need more than venture capital funding for rapid scale-up and deployment of DAC facilities. To that end, Capture6 is fully committed to working with banks and financial institutions, especially green banks across the U.S. including members of Coalition for Green Capital’s American Green Bank Consortium.
